Beta Releases

OrcaOrca Plex for Samsung DeveloperPosts: 7,349Members, Plex Pass, Plex Ninja Plex Ninja

If you want to try out the latest version of the app, download the zip file below.

If you have a 2010 or 2011 model, you can stop here:

  • Running any app form USB will not work for you.
  • Also only models 2012 or newer are able to run the latest 2.0 version!

For models 2012, 2013 and 2014, you need a folder called Plex in the root of the USB,

First unzip the file you downloaded, then copy the Plex folder into the root of the USB
This must be the extracted files, so they should no longer be zipped.

........ {files go here}

Notes:

- The USB stick needs to stay attached while you use the app.

- These versions are beta releases and may still contain issues. Use at your own risk.

 Give it a try, if you don't like it, you will still have the old version.

Edit (12/17/2015):

This method has been disabled by Samsung on 2015 models through a firmware update.
It is no longer possible to sideload apps on a Tizen based model!

Have you checked if your answer might be in the User Manual?
