Improved support for UK content rating

richardpaige@me.comrichardpaige@me.com Members, Plex Pass Posts: 32 Plex Pass

I would like to use Plex Home to ensure that my 6 year old does not watch inappropriate content (having just caught him watching Akira!). However, I am based in the UK and despite having the MovieDB options set to UK, done a forced refresh to update the metadata, many (if not most) of my movies still have US ratings (R, PG13 etc).

I would therefore like to see better support for UK content ratings, preferably sourced from the BBFC database.

Until that happens you could try and set Labels - https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/204232573 - that way it's your own decision what's OK and not for your kids to watch.

edit: And remember to turn off DLNA server as it'll serve all media regardless of restrictions.

    Thanks Peter,

It was my intention to use both - allow anything PG or U, and then label certain 12 films (such as Harry Potter) which I am okay with them watching.
