Getting Kodi Logs

We'd prefer you restart Kodi, enable debugging and replicate the issue, that way the log is as small as possible. Then use the Kodi Log Uploader add-on to upload it. You can turn off debugging when done.

Kodi v16

Inside of Kodi go into Settings → System → Logging and turn on Enable debug logging.
You will see some weird text pop up on the screen, this is normal.

Kodi v17

Inside of Kodi goto the cog wheel → System → Logging and then on Enable debug logging.
You will see some weird text pop up on the screen, this is normal.

Using Kodi Log Uploader Addon

Install - Select Programs → Get more... → Kodi Logfile Uploader then click Install
Run - Programs → Kodi Logfile Uploader

Using Kodi File Manager

Using ES File Manager on Android

Launch ES File Manager
Click on Settings > Display Settings > Enable Hidden Files
Navigate to directory above locally. Long press file and select copy.
Paste the log file to a Cloud location, or a local USB stick to copy off.

Upload log using Ubuntu

sudo apt-get install pastebinit -y
cat $HOME/.kodi/temp/kodi.log | pastebinit

Linux: $HOME/.kodi/temp/kodi.log

Mac: /Users/(username)/Library/Logs/kodi.log

Windows: %APPDATA%\Kodi\kodi.log

Android: <data/sdcard/Android>/data/org.xbmc.kodi/cache/temp/kodi.log or /sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/temp/kodi.log (can vary)

NVIDIA Shield: /Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/temp
