DanStanley01DanStanley01 Posts: 7Members, Plex Pass Plex Pass

Running Windows 10, Kodi v17B6

Any time I try to run it any way (through all different sorts of paths), Plex does not start and Kodi notifies me on screen there was an error and to check the log.

The error in the log is:
    ImportError: No module named requests

Did you install via the 'install from zip'? It should of installed the necessary dependencies. Follow instructions on:

I did the instructions exactly. After installing, it says "plex enabled". Then I go to actually start it, and it won't work. The only thing I can think of is that I have the Kodi version from the windows store, but it is also linked on the download page in the instructions, so I cannot see where I'm doing anything wrong.

The only thing I can think of is the Kodi installation couldn't get to the internet for some reason..

    Try installing requests manually:
    https://github.com/beenje/script.module.requests/releases

download the .zip from latest release, then install from zip in kodi.

I'm not sure I know what you are asking..what is installing requests manually and what does that link allow me? I'm not sure what a script module request is...sorry I"m pretty new to this stuff.

You may be on to something about Kodi getting to the internet...I just tried another addon (Youtube for trailers) and nothing worked....any idea why Kodi wouldn't be able to get to the internet?? I don't recall changing anything.

I ran a log showing me installing the app (the normal way) to see if there is anything you can see happening there?

It worked! I uninstalled and removed everything Kodi (sad face as I have to re-do everything) to start fresh. I downloaded the Kodi 16.1 to be as safe as possible and it worked perfectly. Thank you!
