Where are all of my posters for my tv shows?

chris_in_texas1975chris_in_texas1975 Members, Plex Pass Posts: 9 Plex Pass

My PC crashed yesterday and I'm having to restart all of my libraries. I am scanning my files into the library and the INFO is correct, but only about 10% of the posters are showing up. Movies aren't an issue. Any help would be appreciated. I'm using the latest Plex Pass server.

    Log Files:

    Drag zip file to a message window and drop it.

    Not having issues with Movies?
    You will soon enough. Non-Compliance runs amok in your movie library.

    I can't see one scan of a TV Show in ANY of your scanner logs.
    If the same disastrous naming and structuring is going on in your TV Show Library as it is in you Movie Library it's a pretty safe assumption therein lays (at least some of) the issue(s).

    We should have more seasoned Log Veterans suit up and explore:
    @astrofisher
    @OttoKerner

    That should do it, but they may call in LOG-SWAT if necessary.

    I don't understand. Naming and structuring? Before my PC crashed, this was a non-issue. I'm no tech savant, but, as far as i can understand, I've labeled my shows correctly.

    You certainly haven't labeled your Movies correctly - far from it - if the same thing is happening in your TV Show Library you have a problem.

    I can't see any TV Shows in your scanner logs. That right there is an issue. I called in reinforcements. When/if they arrive we'll know more.

    In the meantime here's some light reading:
    https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/categories/200028098-Media-Preparation
    https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200381023-Naming-Movie-files
    https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200220687-Naming-Series-Season-Based-TV-Shows <--- of particular interest, due to the fact if TV Shows aren't named and structured properly they are more likely to fail than Movies.

    Like I previously stated, plex was running perfectly until my PC crashed. Naming wasn't an issue and everything was labeled correctly on my server. I just can't see posters on my tv shows.

    You absolutely, positively have file naming issues in your movie libraries. It 'may' work now - one day it won't work. Count on it. It will happen.

    If Otto's help gets your TV Shows working again provide another set of log files. I'll offer some compliant examples. You can fix this compliance issue now, or you can fix it later, but one day you're going to be fixing it.

    Ok ive solved this problem..was doing my head in..tv episodes not updating names...

    Ok try first launching IE and go to https://tvdb2.plex.tv/ Then you can close down IE..

    Also in firefox press options/advanced/view certificates Digicert SHA2 Secure Server CA and edit trust and tick the certificate can identify websites...Now my plex has started updating episode names again..Hope this works for other people as there is not much real direction on this issue but it has been mentioned many times...

    Regards
