Intermittent bad picture quality and pixelation on Samsung 8000-series Plex app

On some (most, actually) video files playing from my Windows PMS setup to my Samsung TV (connected via gigabit ethernet to my router), I am getting a fair bit of pixelation every ~30 seconds or so. The problem does not occur in the source media, on my local/remote laptop using the web interface, on Android apps, or on Chromecast on the same TV. The files in question are doing Direct Play, and are far under the limit of the network connection (usually around 6mbps). I am posting here to hopefully get some insight as to what I can do to correct this problem, as using the Chromecast is more clunky than using the build-in app on the television. I have checked, and the TV and app are on the latest version, and I have updated PMS as well.

PMS: Version 1.7.2.3878 on Windows 10
App: Plex version 3.0.11 (3.1.0), Tizen version 2.4.0

Note that these issues do not occur every time on the same file, but they do occur most of the time (and never on Chromecast). I just want the TV app to work better, as the picture quality seems better since it doesn't need to transcode!

    Same issue here. Tried every setting and combination of settings on my TV. Every other device works fine.

    Same problem here. Only started recently on my Samsung HU7500. Seems to occur whether it's direct play, streaming or transcoding to the TV only. Any response from Plex?

    Same issue here. Picture degrades consistently until it's hard to even make out a person's face, then goes back to full quality and starts degrading again. This cycle repeats until the video finishes playing.

    My model is UN55JU6700, so not quite the same as the OP, but the same issue regardless. Never had an issue in the past 1.5 years.

    Same issue here on Samsung UE55JS8000. This started about 2-3 months ago or so.
