Can't Turn off Closed Caption on Safari. Doesn't show up on other browsers.

Playing back some content in Safari shows a closed caption over the video. I believe the files have a closed caption or subtitle file embedded into them. Plex Server lists it as a subtitle file (which is disabled), but for some reason when playing back in Safari, and only Safari, closed captions appear. Non-issue in Chrome. I can't turn it off because the subtitle is already off. I enable the subtitle, and I get both subtitles and closed captions jumbled together.

I don't think this is a Plex issue, but more of a Safari issue only I can't seem to figure out how to turn off closed captions.

Safari v 10.1
macOS 10.12.4
Plex Server
OS Ubuntu Server 16.04

Thanks for any help!
