If you would like to have a predefined launcher button for Gnome (adaptable to other desktop managers), which opens your default browser and takes you directly to Plex/Web in your browser,

Create the following file as root and name it /usr/share/applications/Plex.desktop

[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Name=Plex Media Server
#
# This may be augmented on a per-language basis
#
GenericName=Plex Media Server
GenericName[de]=Plex Server verwalten
#
#
gnome-open   http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
#

Terminal=false
Type=Application
Encoding=UTF-8
Icon=/usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Resources/Graphics/Plex-256.png
Categories=Multimedia;
X-Desktop-File-Install-Version=0.21
