Stops playing, starts buffering at 33 percent.

I have not changed anything on my Roku. Stops playing and starts buffering at 33 percent and goes no further. To get it to play again I have to pause and play again to get it to restart. Happens about 10 times for an hour show. Plex on my Nvidia Shield works fine.

That thread provides instructions for determining if your media playback issue is a Plex app for Roku issue, as well as the information to include in your posts to ensure others can help you resolve the issue.

    same here, been fine for couple years but last few weeks it's been sticking at 33% buffering. Roku2/3/4. Haven't tried other apps yet will check Tivo Bolt (which never works right anyway lol) and webapp in a bit. The roku plex app is 5.0 build 5. The Roku's are 7.7, updating one of them to 8.0 right now see if that gives.

    Netgear ReadyNas316 with PMS, also noticed with but no clue on when it started really. I have the log files if anyone wants em. Probably just the roku sucking.

    Been good so far since upgrading all roku's to 8.0.

    I've only been using Plex on a Roku for a few months. I know I saw this once or twice when I first got the Roku under 7.x I want to say that I narrowed it down to certain media files that Plex believed could be direct played, but the Roku choked on for some reason (I think it was some rather old SD mpegs). I don't believe I've seen the issue since the Roku 8.0 update.

    This was all local, client and PMS on the same LAN.
