Menu Flickering but Movies Play Fine

Hi,

I installed the DEB file today on Ubuntu 16.04 x64 and stumbled my way through the dependancies as it wouldn't display what it needed using https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/220704/openpht-1-6-building-error-on-ubuntu-14-04/p1

Now with it running when I'm navigating the menu's I'm getting flickering but when I play something its fine - oddly not wanting to sit 2ft away from the TV when I VNC'ed onto the machine I can see the flickering on the TV still but the VNC session is fine.

Can anyone help?

thanks!

I have literally the same problem.

I'm running on CentOS 7 via HDMI, and compiled from source using a slight modification of these Fedora instructions.

Navigating the menus causes flickering whenever the background changes, and whenever changing menu item.

Funnily enough, the only part of the menu where absolutely no flickering occurs, and the program runs as desired, is in the 'Appearance -> Skin -> Skin' menu.

And yep - running it over VNC doesn't cause the flickering. Any insights?

Nevermind, just need to set Vertical Black Sync to Enabled during playback.

Should this be a default setting? Not very easy to find in the menu while it's flickering!
