I think it’s really bad communication style if the CTO of Plex isn’t able to argue like a professional about problems users reported.
We reported the problems in the dicussion forums… but nobody is listening. You took our money … and now your only answer to our problems is to go away??? WOW… that’s customer relationship management as it’s best. Congratulations.
Ok … after I read the full story I have to say in my opinion that Plex cloud do a lot better with a more customer friendly request and complain management. A really good example of how to do it right is Starbucks: https://www.starbucks.ca/coffeehouse/learn-more/my-starbucks-idea
Something like that for Plex would really offer some benefits for all - PLEX Team and Customers don’t you think?
I want to quote the forum guidelines: Don’t be afraid to identify when things could be working better in Plex software. We want to know. A lot of users tried I think and the reaction was to close the original discussion and a best of luck from the CTO.
So… Plex Team… do you really want to know what things you could do better or is it just a nice sounding guidline you put out there? How about some roadmaps / suggestion systems / and a quick and honest feedback system where also the developers and not only the customers give feedback on a regulary basis?
Let’s see if this discussion also get’s killed again or maybe something positive will result of it.
Is it not your costumers right if your product has bugs to demand that they are getting fixed? Telling us ones problems arent importent enough? Not even getting a feedback? After all you get money for your products features you advertise! It cant be that a Plex Employee, its CTO etc … just ends a diskussion this way. Closing a thread, end of talking over unpleasant things. Thats not the right way to treat your costumers. thats not the right way to treat anybody.
LOL… You think the forum doesn’t update… Truth is it is probably configurable and this is a topic that they want and when I say they I mean @elan “Master of Deflection, Supreme Closer of Forum Topics” doesn’t want to deal with this. The little music app is top priority right… And Collections… Doesn’t matter if your media doesn’t play properly in x265 format… It looks sooooo amazing on the screen in its collection folder… And that is what really matters…
