Plex Server on Synology Doesn't See Movie Files

I've searched the forums and FAQs and can't find an answer to this problem.

I set up Plex Media Server on a Synology DS214se, created a shared Media folder in Control Panel, and created the recommended subfolders within the Media folder using FileStation.

I copied two .m4v movie files into the Movies subfolder, and they were not seen by the Plex Library. They are named according to the Plex recommendations. No other files (posters, subtitles, etc.) were added.

Per a FAQ about upload speed, I then moved the files into a non-Plex-related folder and moved them back to the . They're still not seen in the Plex Library.

I read some references to restarting the Plex server, but I don't know how to do that on the Synology and don't know if will fix this problem.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
