"reset" without wiping?

in Roku

is there a way to wipe/reset "all" config but not lose playback data, shared, covers, etc?

    are you talking about wiping the Roku and its settings or the Plex Media Server.
    if you're talking about Roku -- playback data etc. are not stored right on the Roku, so you should be good to go to delete the client app and its settings.

    If you are talking about the Roku app itself then yes, and it is pretty easy.

    1. From the Roku home screen while the Roku app is highlighted press the * key.
    2. From the resulting menu choose "remove" and then answer "yes" to the question about do you wish to remove the app.
    3. Then restart your Roku. This can be done form the settings menu or by simply unplugging the Roku for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in. This is important as the reboot is what clears the memory for the removed app.
    4. Then reinstall the Roku app as you did when you first installed it.

    That will put the Roku app back just as it was when you first installed it but since the posters, playback states etc are stored on the server they will not be impacted. You just have to re-link the app to your server.

    Sorry guys I posted this in the wrong section. I am talking about resetting the Plex Media Server config.

Please disable "Verbose" logging

When logs (server or client app) are requested for an investigation, please do NOT turn on "verbose" logging unless it is explicitly requested. Verbose logging makes things much more difficult in the majority of cases.
