How do I add/install plugins?

LG 32LV3730
I bought my new smart LG TV. I figured out this app call plex and downloaded it and set it up accordingly.

However, I do not know where can I add channel/plugins to be use on my LG Smart tv. Anyone can enlighten me on this?

I am able to use the media link function properly and watch my movies properly via my PMS.

Help please. I have been googling for help and also reading up a lot.

When on the initial plex screen (MediaLink) on my LG TV I can hit the yellow button (Plex Channels) and add channels from there.

You can download Plex Media Center (the PC client application) and install plugins from there. The plugins install in the Plex Media Server. They will be accessible from the TV and other clients.

So does this means I dont need Plex Media Center? If I have Plex Media Center. How do I install plugins or where do I download plug ins from? I have Both Plex media server/center installed on my PC. Im puzzled.

You can install them from the Main Menu of the Plex Media Center (PMC), in the Channel Directory.

Although you use the PMC to control and install/remove the plug-ins, they install themselves on the server so that they are available for all your clients to use.

Okay. I have Plex Media Center but how do I start installing plug-ins? I still see nothing in my Plex Channels on the TV. Nothing is found.

Select the channel directory in the PMC

This should give you a filtered list of all the plug-ins, find the plug-in you want

Select it, and it will give you the option to install it.

Do you mean that the channel directory is empty and the plug-ins are not even listed for you to intall, or you can install them but then can't see them anywhere to run them?

What OS (OSX/Windows/Linux) are you running your PMS on?

Can you quit the PMS application and delete everything in the below folder

    C:\Users\***Your User Name***\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins

Windows hides the AppData directory so you will need to make sure you have the "Show hidden Files, Folders and Drives" option enabled in your Windows Explorer preferences.

Restart PMS, give it a minute (as it will re-download all the latest versions of the files we deleted) and then see if you can now see the plug-ins?

Is it possible that outbound internet communication from Plex programs is blocked by a firewall? I was getting a blank screen like that before I unblocked them.
