- Fixed issue with play button in channel preplay view

Following our usual pattern, here is a smaller release focused on bugs while we work on a much more interesting release. Most importantly, a bug was squashed that was causing synced videos to have no audio.

It's been a little while since our last update, but I think you'll find that the longer the wait is, the bigger the update will be. It is certainly true with this update. We've listened to your feedback and tried to improve the overall look and structure of the application to make things easier to find. We've also added some frequently requested features such as global On Deck and Recently Added.

In our usual style, we're following up our big update yesterday with a smaller update focused on bug fixes.

Another update was just pushed with some more minor bug fixes and vastly improved poster loading.

If you've been paying attention to the blog, you've probably watched the video of the new Android app. One of the new features coming is the ability to advertise your device as a server. This Plex/Web update primarily prepares us for this brave new world by allowing sections that do not support advanced filtering and sorting to be browsed.

I just pushed a hotfix that gets rid of a nasty bug that prevented sections from being created. Sorry about that!

This minor update contains a fix for users with older versions of the media server not seeing all the management options within their sections.

We've been focused on a couple other web-related things lately (e.g. the new forums), but we're back to Plex/Web with this update. We're bringing support for the new transcoder (used by sync). This should fix a lot of video-related issues like certain subtitle formats not working and io errors when seeking. Unfortunately, you need at least the 0.9.7.17 release of the Plex Media Server which isn't quite available yet. When the next version is released, download it and Plex/Web should automatically start using the new transcoder.

For everyone who has been wanting a way to customize everything about their dashboard, this update allows you to take a giant step in that direction. PlexPass users will now be able to reorder widgets, disable widgets, and change widget-specific settings. Don't like the large thumbnail for the first channel? There's now a setting for that. You don't need a PlexPass to benefit from all changes. All users can now toggle a setting to change their dashboard from a fixed width to expand to the full width of the page. Announcements have also been updated based on some user feedback to indicate the date of the announcement as well as a button to mark announcements as read. This lets you hide the announcements widget until a new announcement is made.
One other part of Plex/Web that sees a lot of change in this update is photo sections. Photo albums now have their own view, allowing users to change the poster and background of a photo album. We've also rebuilt the photo viewer, introducing features like a slideshow, animations, and remote play.

Plex/Web has come a long way since our initial release to PlexPass subscribers and we've finally hit the 1.0 milestone seven months later. Does that mean we will now slow down the pace of development? Of course not. Nothing really has changed and we will continue to bring new features and bug fixes as fast as possible.
