Hi all!

I've been enjoying my PMS setup for a couple of months now and I'd love to share my library with my parents. I currently share with a friend who has his own PMS setup and that works great between us.

I created a myPlex account for my dad, but I can't seem to figure out how to add him as a friend and share my library without him having a server and access to Plex/Web.

Any suggestions or guidance?

Thanks in advance!

When you click on the link under my.plexapp.com/servers for "Shared with X other People" you'll get the option to put in someone's PlexID or Email Address and it should work from there. Same thing with friends.

for him to access your server he can go to

my.plexapp.com/servers

click on your server and select Plex/Web

once he has done this the first time, he can simply bookmark the URL it gives him.

I have done this and when my brother opens his share it is all blank and after minutes nothing loads. Is there something else to be enabled?

If your friend can't see anything other than an empty Queue when he logs in, he'll have to:

  1. Sign in to myPlex
  2. Click his username on the top right
  3. Click Servers
  4. Under "shared with me", click your friend's server's name
  5. Click Launch

The libraries should now show up in the app.

PHT: Chromecast, web client, dedicated box

Storage: 2x2TB

Network: 15Mb/s D, 2Mb/s U

That is exactly how he gets there and the blank queues shows up when it launches
