Isn't Medialink integrated on the 2013 models any more? This App used the be the pre-installed Plex client.

Thanks for your answers.

Do you mean that it's develepoded by plex, and now LG must approve it ?

I try with a TV seller to install plex in the store. After plug the TV on internet, we doesn't found the application on the web ...

Any more informations ?

I'm lookinf for LG TV for PLEX and passive 3D.

What is your opinion about the 47LM660S schlossperle ?

Thanks

It is developed by LG.

i have 47LM760S and you can be happy if you have older firmware (3.XX) with firmware from 4.XX it is not possible to change audio tracks

as a TV it is okay, but mediaplayer.... better is to use extended device like Rasplex.... oder any  other android tv stick...

Tks for speeking about your experience leonsio.

You are speeking about the TV firmware ? I think will make a correction about this probleme.

I want a solution IN the TV, and not another equipement ! so plex is perfect.

I have a LG 42LV3730 and the Medialink (Plex) client workS well enough for my wife to use it, it is an advantage being able to control it with the supplied remote but the client itself is rather basic and does have a few interface issues for me.

You could also consider Sumsung TV with Media link app, it seems closer to the desktop versions and seems to be more actively developed although I don't have a Samsung TV so have not tried it myself.

samsung is the other possible solution

i wanted to have all in one solution, and replaced my macmini+LCD with the LG one, but now i'm thinking that it was not the best case

the advantage of the build in solution, is that you can control all with one remote and in one device

but the main task of the TV is to display a video stream, and the media player is only so good like the tv hardware AND software are

the software for the TV itself is good, but the medialink app is terrible :( and you dont have any other solutions to replace it

so a good tv and a good media player may be the better solution for you, take a look on MK 802 (android tv) and/or rasplex + pulse eight hdmi, to control all with one remote

this devices can be plugged in in the tv (hdmi+usb) and you have no differences between build in solution and this addon

I'm going to go against the grain here. I honestly don't think Medialink (the built in Plex client to too bad) it certainly isn't as good as the Plex front end for PC and you have to make some compromises (like making sure that the soundtrack you want is the first or only soundtrack available) but everything else works OK as long as you have a decent network connection. Its much prettier  and easier to navigate than the DNLA solution.

The only issues I have (as long as the soundtrack is set up right) are a) it defaults to full screen and stretches the aspect ratio until you change it back to original and B) it defaults to subtitles on. Both of these things are annoying but only a couple of button presses to fix.

It should be better but if you are looking for a passive 3D TV then the LG is a fine unit, the Plex issues are not showstoppers

I have lg la620. And no medialink installed.
Now I can't see my plex media server as well like in other models.
I am gonna to give them back my tv and replace it if they will not fix this.

I received my LG 47LM760S.

It seems to be great TV, and plex work.

By it's different than the plex I have on my Samsung bluray player (it's not an apps, it's installed on the TV by default) : I can't found my unwatched movies ...

Do you known how I can just have a look on unwatched movie and not on all ?

Thanks for you help.
