Both of the Rokus were directly connected to separate TVs via HDMI.  So, I initially didn't try moving the Roku 2 XS HD to the Roku 3 TV because I thought that there would be no difference. However, much to my surprise, the Roku 2 XS HD works on the other TV. What's the difference? The Roku 2 XS HD is connecting via an HDMI switch on the TV that had no sound and it is directly connected to the TV that does have sound. Good news is that I now know what the problem is. Bad news is that I now have to research what the issue is with using an HDMI switch. All other sounds from my Roku 2 XS HD via the HDMI switch work (e.g. Menu Navigation chimes, Angry Birds, MLB.TV, HBO Go). Strange. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

I connected my Roku 2 XS HD directly to the TV that had no sound and it still had no sound.  So, the HDMI switch has nothing to do with the problem.  Is is possible that the AC3 stream cannot be decoded by my TV?

I connected my Roku 2 XS HD directly, bypassing the HDMI switch, to the TV that had no sound and it still had no sound. So, the HDMI switch has nothing to do with the problem. Is the next step to see if there was a firmware upgrade for my TV or do I just need to re-encode the audio in my video file? If so, what from the following audio stream that my TV can't decode would possibly be the culprit?

Audio

Format : AC-3
Format/Info : Audio Coding 3
Mode extension : CM (complete main)
Format settings, Endianness : Big
Codec ID : A_AC3

Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz
Bit depth : 16 bits

Did you try changing the audio setting on the roku 2 to stereo? A lot of TV's won't passthrough audio AC-3, Dts and such as you mentioned earlier. So no sound would be played.

Yeah, I tried that and it was already set to Stereo.  Thanks though.  I appreciate the help.
