I am pulling what little hair I have left out trying to figure this out.

Some TV episodes show the episode name correctly while others just show the series name.

The files are all layed out the same, like

Good Eats - S09E06 - Wake Up Little Sushi.mp4     shows fine while

Good Eats - S09E07 - Cobbled Together.mp4          only shows 'Good Eats' as the episode name

This is happening on almost every show in random files. It SEEMS to happen more with MP4 then AVI files.

I even check the NFO files and everything looks the same

try just forcing a mismatch, and make it redownload the data.   I've been getting that a bit since the last update of PMS

Plex doesn't use NFOs unless your using that unofficial NFO agent i think is around. might be that it is embedded medadata in the mp4 file that has "good eats" as the title of the episode and Plex is picking that up

Note to self- awesome software coupled with awesome user community.. worth putting up with a minor annoyance now and then.

Correlation does not imply causation

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer   a crazy movie but so good

Media Prep , Server Logs , MEDIA INFO , Why can't find that Plex folder on OS X

I checked the medadata (file info) and all have the correct name listed. but when I look at the meta info in Plex it is not showing  the right name just the show name.

The NFO files must be coming from MCEBuddy then

I have  looked and can't seem to find where to force a mismatch. I see it for movies but do not see it for TV episodes.
