2 Plex Media Servers, single Movies path, they have different movie counts

Server Version#: 1.25.0.5282
I have 2 separate Plex servers (1 is Synology DSM 6 and the other Windows PC), and they are pointing to the same Movies path. There are 1,810 movie files (all .MP4) and my Windows Plex shows only 1,796 movie titles and my DSM Plex shows 1,885. How can this be? And where do I start in trying to identify what’s missing on the one, and what duplicated on the other?

Look for duplicates, and make sure you dont have collections mixed in with movies. (I had this and really threw my counts waay off)

I suspect that the Windows Box has duplicates, and the DSM has collections mixed in.

Sort both by something other than Title - date added, release year, etc. That will eliminate the collections from the count.

For duplicates, click on All and choose Duplicates in the drop down list.

In the Library view, mouse over the movie poster, click the three vertical dots in the lower right corner. Choose Get Info at the bottom of the list. This will show the path to each movie file.

If they should not be duplicates, then you can use Split Apart to separate them.

Use Fix Match to correct any mismatch. If you do not get a match using Auto Match or Search Options / Title, use the IMDB ID in the title field and leave the year blank (ex: tt0499549 for Avatar, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499549/).

Got it, thank you. Though, being able to export the Plex movie list to a text file, and reconciling it with the directory listing of the Movies source direction, and a little batch magic allowed me to quickly find the duplicate files/titles.
