"404 GET" when transcoding

While watching something that’s being trancoded (direct stream video, transcoded audio), I get a playback error and it stops. It shows up as a “404 GET” error in the logs. I’ve read that this means it might not have access to the transcode directory? I have Plex installed on my C drive (SSD), but the transcode sessions are going to an HDD. Thought it might be a failing hard drive, so I moved it to my M.2 drive (not the same SSD as the C drive), but that didn’t help.

If this is a permissions issue, I’m not sure how to make sure Plex has access. But transcoding is fine for a few minutes before it crashes. That leads me to believe it’s not an issue with permissions.

Updating Windows seemed to solve my issue. Time will tell.
