Genus is now officially live on the Apple TV. I really appreciate the support, testing and feedback. If I can get a decent amount of sales, I will be able to start work on support DVR (need to buy some hardware), so please spread the word.

Is Dolby Vision/HDR supported with this build, of not will it be in future versions? I am currently using Infuse which supports pretty much everything. I would like support continued development of this project.

Yes, if the version of DV and HDR that your files have are supported by the native AVPlayerkit, they will play fine.
Canât seem to get either one of my Plex servers to load up. Just get âUpdatingâ in upper right. One is remote and the other is local.
Hm okay. Could you create a ticket here with all the details you can? DIdnât run into this with anything of our beta testers, etc.
Submitted. I think it has something to do with only showing the LAN addresses for all servers I own and a part of. Even my friends servers show their LAN address. Iâm using a custom domain on one server and the other is behind the Docker Network.
QQ do you have secure connections set to âRequiredâ on your server? If so you running into the issue Iâve been running into myself.
I just tried out the last TestFlight version and still ran into the error. It might be that, simple quick check to verify.
Yeah the current test flight version doesnât have that fix. I am prepping a new beta with some new features now, that will include that fix.
No my secured connection is set to âPreferredâ for both my servers. Maybe itâs related.
Dolby Vision appears working in the new Betas but the highlights are clipped, not tone mapping as it should. Media files are Profile 8 and supported on the ATV. Is it reasonable to expect this will ever get fixed? No issues with Infuse on playing back the same file.
Possibly. this will be fixed in the next beta. Its fixed in the released version already.
if its something that has to do with the Plex side, absolutely. If its a limitation of AVPlayer, then not until Apple fixes it, since we use AVPlayer.
I just submitted the first beta of v1.1 which has the secure connection fix and support for PMS upgrades from within Genus. Hopefully youâll get notices in the next hour!
I tried it but my remote server using a custom domain name is failing to connect. I get a red âcould not connect to the serverâ message.
when selecting my local server, I get a red message after a minute of ârequest timed outâ
hmm wonder why itâs not connecting to the plex servers. Is there a way to get logs?

yeah I am doing some POC for an iPadOS app and a native desktop app. iOS will require a full redesign, so leaving that to last.
There should be logs for Plex on whatever machine you are hosting it on. Are you using the newest beta that came out yesterday via the testing list?
Yes latest beta was used. 1.1 build 1.
Iâll have to test when I get home tonight and see if the PMS logs show any hits. This newer version does not show the IP address like the old build did, so if itâs not hitting PMS then I wont have any logs to share.
