# A solution to Mac going to sleep mid stream

I love plex, I love my Mac. But when I am mid film and it just stops I have to get up and go the the studio to wake the computer up.

I don’t want to leave my computer on 24/7 so I have a solution.

Implement this simple feature….

when Mac server is steaming any film and Not idol allow plex to simply move the mouse every few minutes you need.

Please vote, you won’t regret it 🙂

On what version of macOS and with what version of Plex Media Server are you experiencing this behavior?  
I don’t think I’ve ever seen PMS letting the OS go to sleep in mid-stream.

To Chime in on Energy settings.

Do not put disks to sleep not checked should resolve you problem.

You can always create a schedule for you Mac to shut down or sleep

This has happened for as long as I remember on my macs. So I prevented the Mac from sleeping when screen goes off. To save every I have unticked the top one. My Hdd’s do not goto sleep either. I am on Monterrey.

This are literally my settings 🙂

I can’t set a schedule for random times to wake up.
