I would love to see a way to (as the admin/server host) send messages or announcements to the people that I have given access to my server (friends and guests). This way I can send them a message for when I am updating the server, or have to restart the server, or any other thing that would cause my plex server to be shut down for a period of time. This way if they are working on something or watching something they have the ability to pause it or make a note of what they were doing or whatever before the server gets shut down. And would also be a good way to announce to them when the server is back up. If this is already implemented somewhere and I am just too dumb to find it please let me know! And also if there is already a thread on this I am sorry, I looked through and didn’t see one but I may have missed it. This would just make maintenance a lot easier and smoother and that way my friends don’t think my server is crappy and randomly crashes. 😛 ---

This has been a feature request ignored by Plex for around 6 years. Many folks have asked for it, but no joy. Don’t expect this any time soon. ---
