# Accessing a Plex Server from a Remote Location on a PS3

Hello,
I am trying to access my Plex server from my brother-in-law's PlayStation 3 (not on the same network). Is there any way that this can be achieved? I know there is no client (nor one in the works), and the built-in browser doesn't support the new Plex/Web Client.

what i have been able to do for friends with similar situation to view my server remotely is the following:
1) brother needs to setup/install Plex Media Server on a local system within his local network
2) sign up for a myPlex account (you have to share your access/content)
3) on the Plex Media Server @ your brother's system he needs to sign in with his myPlex account & make sure DLNA is enabled on the server (default it is)
4) on the PS3 go to the local PMS and then click on a folder called "SHARED CONTENT" ... there you should see your remote PMS that he can view.
Recap: Your PMS -\> Remotely to brother's PMS -\> DLNA -\> PS3
your bro might need a decent CPU/etc if it needs to transcode the content to work on PS3

So, I've now gotten my Plex Server showing up on his PS3!!!
Now, I'm getting the following message for every movie I try:
```
Media Server Error:
A network error has occurred.
(00000190)
```
Googling this didn't really bring up any good results.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello, is there a viable option for this yet? plus for users that don't have to install plex on a computer at their own home because they don't have one setup like that. Is there a PS3 app we can download now that will link to my remote server or a browser that will work on the PS3?
