# Actors bios

Hi guys,
I’ve made a search but I found old posts, so I’d like to know if in the meanwhile there’s any new function to have a link to an actor’s bio instead of (or, in addition to) the movies in my library where they are in. Or, if still not supported, if there’s any plugin I can use to get that behavior. I never need to know in which of my movies an actor is, but 99,99% of times I say “hey, I’ve already seen that face… where?”. 🙂
As some already suggested, no need of bells and whistles; a simple link to imdb or wikipedia will do the job.

No such feature for your own libraries, though [https://watch.plex.tv](https://watch.plex.tv) has that option – not sure if that makes it a safe bet it’ll also make its way to the classic server.

What I have done is create Smart Libraries of my Favorite Actors, adding bios as the Summary. Not the same as you mentioned and your right. Were have I seen that actor before? Comes to mind.

That is a very interesting feature. I think it won’t be too difficult to add maybe a small link below the actor name in cast list to compose a quick link, like [url]+[name string]. Maybe with an option in preferences where we can customize the URL, if we prefer IMDB or other sources.
