# Add a threshold for software vs hardware transcoding

It would be great if there was an option to transcode everything that is 1080p and higher in hardware and anything else lower in software. Kinda like what macOS does, but that is hardcoded, I think, at the moment.

Could be any of the current values: 480p 1.5mbps, 720p 2mbps, 720p 3mbps, 720p 4mbps, 1080p 8mbps, etc

Would be great for users who own a 4th gen or lower Intel iGPUs 🙂
