I’d love to have video backdrops displayed besides/under the plot summary á la Netflix. I don’t need a metadata agent for them, just give those of us who have these a way to use them.

I’ve been tempted to move to emby for this functionality alone. but they play the backdrop behind everything and not just in a corner behind the plot summary.

Being able to prevent this on remote clients would be a fair option. And support for TV clients would be the priority since smaller screens can’t really use this as well as the TV’s.
