Hi Guy’s,

I recently came across a collection of Mozart’s complete works. They are compiled under one album and separated into volumes. Each volume contains 5-6 CD’s (on average, some volumes are larger).

I have tried various ways to add this collection to my library however, it always ends up as one great unorganised mess. Some volumes are identified as “various artists” those that are found seemed to be randomly ordered.

Has anyone here have experience with a similar issue and what approach did you use to tackle the problem?

If Plex is configured to prefer embedded tags, the folder file structure is still important, but the following How-to will help you make sure Plex is configured correctly. It’s all important, but there is information regarding multi-disc sets near the bottom:

> Please only reply to this thread with corrections or questions about the information in this How-To article itself. If you want to report a bug or ask a question about Plex and metadata, please post it in the appropriate forum, where it will have the best chance of being seen. This guide applies to libraries using the "Plex Music" agent only. Plex essentially has two ways to identify your albums: Folder/filename structure – If your files don’t have embedded metadata, or it isn’t accurate, o…
