# Additional Emulators

Any sign of allowing us the option to add additional emulators into the mix as yet? I was trying to add Colecovision which it would appear should be able to use the MAME core. When i edit the RetroCores.xml file and add a line for “Colecovision” and then create a directory for “colecovision” in Games directory it doesnt find anything. Rom file is in the format “filename.col” so should work from what i can tell.
Would be nice if we could add in extra emulators such as SegaCD, Playstation, Saturn etc into the mix. The sega ones are just a matter of directory/filename naming conventions I believe

We would have to add some internal support for that and the process would involve 1) adding metadata in the cloud 2) adding the new platform (server release).
We definitely want to add more platforms over time but the current priority is stabilizing/bug-fixing for existing ones as well as client issues 😅
