After updating to the latest version of PMS for freeBSD I noticed that it has started making its own collections.
How do I disable this?
I do have some collections but I don’t want Plex to start making them on its own.
It’s in your library settings… (... > Edit (Library) > Advanced > Use collection info from The Movie Database – setting is pretty much at the bottom of the dialog). From all I know you need to actively set this checkbox for Plex to pull the collection tags from The Movie Database. However this is part of the settings which apply to all libraries with either The Movie Db or Plex Movie agent, so having set the flag for one library will activate this for all similar libraries!
Another scenario is you’ve added some mp4/m4v video with embedded metadata that contains collection information.

I’m assuming thats it, not the mp4 thing.
99% of my movies are mkv format
There should be an info bubble there or something that explains what that option is.

to me that just says is getting information on a “collection” from “The Movie Database”
