# airplay back to server computer

New to rasplex.
My rasplex (new install) is I believe airplaying sound back to my mac (10.8) running the plex media server (with latest update).
How is this happening and how do I stop it?

RasPlex is an airplay client. It is not capable of sending airplay video... i don't think

I am getting the same thing. I have a QNAP running PMS serving films and tv episodes but because of the lack of support for flash and silverlight on linux I created another PMS on my iMac. When I try and stream video from the channels (iPlayer, Netflix etc) I get the audio come through on the PMS server and no video or audio on rasplex.
I'm very close to my ideal of having a single setup where one client and one server (albeit two server running PMS) delivering all my multimedia needs the only shortfall at the moment is getting rasplex stream content from the channels correctly.
It would be fantastic if you could get it working.
Great work in porting the client to the Pi so far I'm really excited about how far you can go with this and look forward to a slick speedy all working client :-)

Which versions of PMS / RasPlex are you using?
Sounds more like a PMS related issue - very strange…

Using the latest version of rasplex .28 and the latest version of PMS from the website 0.9.7.17.469

On Macs was necessary to install Soundflower to retrive sound for channels (flash). Not sure if this still apply as I do not see the option in the PMS web based setting window…
Most likely nothing to do with rasplex. To be sure try to stream to another client that is not on the same machine as the PMS.

Soundflower installed on iMac also tried windows version with the same results, just tried it with the iPhone version of the client and it works great.

I also have this issue. Just installed RasPlex on my Pi. If I select a video on the iPlayer video channel on RasPlex, it tries to load and then seems to do nothing. Then the sound suddenly starts playing through my macbook from PMS (it stops when I close PMS). Quite a strange bug, I'm running the latest versions at the time of writing; PMS 0.9.7.22 and RasPlex 0.1.36.

I don't believe applications and channels are yet supported by RasPlex. Do you get the same problem playing movies/music from your own personal collections?
