After the release of Editions for movies, I’d like to propose that we expand this to music albums. There are several cases where albums are released with a standard or deluxe editions. In some cases, the albums can cause plex to become cluttered, looking like there are 4-5 albums when really there was only one with a couple other editions. An example of this would be Taylor Swift’s Midnights album that just released, which currently has: - Standard Edition - 3am Deluxe Edition - Target Lavender Edition All with different tracks on them. Currently we either have to add each album separately, which looks clunky, or we “frankenstein” these albums together into a fake large album. That feels disingenuous to the artist though, because they laid out their work a specific way. Theoretically in PlexAmp it’d be great to mark these as separate editions of the same album, so when I click on an album with multiple editions it would show a popup that had the images of the different editions available so I could choose which one to play. You can already do this with a smart collection. It won’t give a pop-up, but you will go to a screen that shows the albums that match your smart filter. ---

That doesn’t exactly solve the problem, the other issue is that all three editions currently show in the UI, when it’d be better to have them collapsed down with the ability to select which album you’re interested in. There’s actually an existing feature suggestion discussing how to improve the handling of multiple releases of the same album. That thread is a bit dated but had gained some more votes.
