Allow Watch Together For TV Shows // mod: more than 1 episode at a time

It’d be nice to use Watch Together with TV Shows, without having to always re-invite a friend to watch the next episode. Please implement a feature that allows people to watch a show together, and have it also autoplay the next episode - like it does when you’re just watching by yourself.

This would be very handy.

Would love this feature!

I’d absolutely love this feature. I’ve been doing watch together with friends during the day and this would make marathon-ing shows so much easier. Having to start a new watch together after every show is a huge pain.

This would make marathon-ing a show so much easier, please make this a feature Plex!

Is it still the case that next episode is unavailable in Plex’s “Watch Together”?

Yup. There is no option to play the next episode directly in Watch Together still. This feature would make binging shows with friends a lot more convenient.

Still Heavy Agree, Or even the ability to set up a “Watch Together Playlist” where you can put all the episodes in a playlist and then create a “watch party” for that playlist.

We really need this. What is there to vote on? It’s obviously a missing feature

I would love to see this feature.

playlist or atleast an option to play next episode if not autoplay

Maybe a good implementation of this would be to have something like a “Watch Party” that you join together and stay in after something finishes playing?

That would then allow anyone in the party to start playing content, queue up other media, etc.

Please add this. It should have been a given with a watch together feature, I would have waited a few more months for it to be fully implemented if it meant work was being consistently put into the functionality.
Sadly it now seems as if plex has crossed this off their list of additions or marked it complete when in reality with groups larger than 2-3 (with varying strengths of connection), the watch together shi.ts itself and I’m afraid more time is spent making another room/hoping it auto-corrects itself than actually watching.

Also, one or two more things, I assume when it loops it is attempting to resync the member(s) of the session, could you guys make it pause instead of looping like that? I don’t even know if that is exactly the issue but when at least one person is having trouble with bandwidth, it screws everything up.
And maybe a feature that would only allow the host to start/stop playback and seek since there have been times where people have accidently seeked and plex couldn’t correct itself once we moved back so a new room had to be made.

This is a much needed feature. I am loving using Watch Together, but when doing it with TV shows (especially short ones), it becomes a pain when you just want to immerse yourself into a show. Even if it was limited to a season at a time and then you would have to start the next season, that would be fine, but definitely a needed enhancement to watch more than one tv show in a “Watch Together” session.

I agree adding TV Shows and Playlist or queue would make this feature great

Pretty Please

pretty pretty please with a cherry on top.

+1. I realize that “doing Watch Together right for TV” might be seen as a major undertaking (e.g., keeping track of episodes watched, autoplay from one episode to the next), but for my part it would be nice simply to be able to select “watch together” for individual episodes, just as a break from the usual movies we watch on movie night.

The same could be said of extras on DVDs–it would be lots of fun to watch BTS videos or deleted scenes after finishing a movie. If there’s an open feature request for “Watch together should work on all videos” I’ll vote for that one too.

From what I can see, this has been a requested feature for YEARS across the internet. The fact that a simple queue hasn’t been implemented yet or something is just… disappointing.

Die Hart (2020)

The Fugitive (2020)

Survive (2022)

Wireless (2020)

These are all tv shows but the length of a movie they split up into 5 to 8 minute episodes.
It’s a nightmare

I’ve gone as far as merging a copy of all the videos and just putting them in the movie section unmatched so I didn’t have to restart it 14 times
