When I opened Plex on my Amazon Fire Stick today and went to Movies => Library, My movies were no longer sorted as they were and the menu that allows you to define the sort order and filter out already watched movies seems to be missing. Has it been moved?
That’s really odd. I’ve never see that happen before. It is showing the time ago something was added but that should only show when sorted by Date added, when it is clearly sorted by Title.
I’ve just started having the same problem on my standard Fire Stick. Not just the sort buttons but the navigation letters on the right hand side have gone as well.
I’ve tried clearing cache and data and tried uninstalling and re-installing twice but no luck.
Edit: Fixed it now, just needed to update my server. It’s always the simple things.
Thank you for suggestion @JanoBarnard. I don’t use the PlexServer App that’s available for the Nvidia Shield. I have a separate media server. I’m using Nvidia Shield as a Player with Plex Agent installed.
For SNG’s, I tried to install the server anyway, and it didn’t resolve the problem, so I removed it.
Still missing sort from my Library. I will try to remove and reinstall next.
@TurtlePlexx Ah I understand. All I can think of is ensuring that both the server and client is up to date. If all else fails, maybe a complete reinstall of the client can help. It’s quite an irritating bug as sorting is very handy.
I’m having the same issue on all 3 of my Fire TV 4K sticks. I’m guessing there must have been a bad version or something. I’ll try uninstalling and reinstalling tomorrow and see if I get a new version or something.
