# Amazon Fire TV V2 beta App

Hello there,

I’ve looked everywhere, but somehow I didn’t figure it out. How can I install the Plex Pass version of FireTV? Beta channel is activated, latest server beta installed. I own the FireTV Box version 2 with the latest Fire OS on it. Sideloading from both versions from the forum didn’t work… 😕

To be clear, there is no Plex Pass version of the app. There is a Beta and you need to be a Plex Pass member to sideload it. Amazon doesn’t have a beta program. If you signed up for the Beta, then that is only good for the Google play Store.

You need the one for Fire OS devices. Do you get a success message after sideloading the app? Do you get an error when starting the app? Just curious what you mean by “didn’t work”.

Sorry for the late reply, that’s the message I’m getting (sideloading with adbLink):

"pkg: /data/local/tmp/kepler-armv7a-amazon-fireExo-7.6.1.7165-50bd5554.apk

Failure [INSTALL\_FAILED\_UPDATE\_INCOMPATIBLE]"

Furthermore I signed up for the beta of iOS and never got a mail. Twice even a new mail entered because I thought it would be something wrong with the mail. But I never got an invitation. Maybe something is wrong with my account?

Are you installing the beta over a previous beta? I don’t think you can install the beta over the store version. You’ll need to uninstall the store version first.
