It would be nice if the Media Server could analyze the file someone wants play before it shows me that it’s not playable. Or to implement a button where every User could start the analyzation of the wanted file by themselve. 😉 ---

I think some analyzation of the media files does happen when you first add them to your media library. ---

Because Plex will simply transcode files that have codec incompatibility with your client… ---

But the butler should take care of that automatically. Of course it has to have a chance to actually run during the maintenance hours, i.e. the Plex Server device must be running during this time. ---

What my problem is, I have Plex connected to my Amazon Drive with rclone mount. From time to time it looses the connection and cause of that some media-information from a few files are gone. I have to analyze them by myself or wait until the butler is doing it at night. :neutral: ---

I’ll try to find the link. ---
