Hey friends, I’ve had a Plex server on my PC for a few years now and it works really well. I sent a recent Plex Pass email to my husband to see if he was interested in the upgrade.
Today he purchased a lifetime pass - but - he made a new account. Is there a way to merge our accounts? How can I use our server now? I’ve tweaked everything to where things work great and I really don’t want to start from scratch
He said he could try to cancel the subscription and repurchase it from my account. I’m hoping that won’t be necessary.
Heehee I know I should’ve just bought it myself, but he’s been taking care of the dish/directv renewal crapola the past few years. I manage the library of stuff we watch via Plex. Since the Plex Pass will give us more options with local stations and dvr, I sent it over to him to check out.
I forgot to mention it would be easiest to keep it under our current Plex account. I’m even willing to add him to the picture
I’ve seen @OttoKerner resolve a million of these things, so… the flare has been fired.
It should be an easy thing, but you don’t want to make a wrong move.
The server is just the server - taking ownership of it… is better left to someone who is not me.
I think more help is arriving.
If something in Accounting has to be handled - it will be soon enough.
That would be logical - if it weren’t for all that history and stuff being held in a Mayonnaise Jar on Funk and Wagnall’s front porch. Anything that can survive a Plex Dance will surely be account related… at least I think/hope so.
Fact is - I don’t know.
I have one server and one account and - being a Man - is pretty amazing in itself.
Customer service was great! Of course, they needed to carefully verify everything to ensure I wasn’t trying to pull anything, but as soon as they received it, they moved the Plex pass to my account. Thank you!
