Any interest in a missing episode finder?

Find out what episodes your collection is missing
I just finished a quick php script to compare the data retrieved from plex (in my case tv shows) with the data from thetvdb. What I wanted to accomplish was to generate a list of any and all episodes for the shows in my library. I've recently suffered a couple drive crashes, and was able to recover some data, leaving my collection quite fragmented.

For my purposes the script is done, but I figured I'd post a question here to see if there would be any interest in such an app. If so I'll go ahead and develop it and refine it a little further.

So, what do you think?

While I think it’s a worthwhile endeavor and welcome any contribution in this area - Sick Beard, even if you don’t use it to actually download anything, is purpose built just for episode management. It’s extremely well maintained and works wonders to keep track of what you do and don’t have along with all the info one could want.

Ok, I guess I will start refining it into something a little more polished.



What kinds of features would be desired?

Would love an app like that! That would be a massive timesaver for me!

Sounds like an awesome idea.



And features that maybe allow you to export a file (CSV maybe?) that lists the following data.



TV Show Name, Episode Number, Episode Name.

Maybe to be able to scan a selection of directories, not just the plex library would be great as well, to pick up those items that havent been added to plex yet
