# Anyone else having issues with the PS4 app?

Hi,
I’ve been having issues with the PS4 app when I try to use my phone or any other device to control it. It works for a couple of minutes then disconnects my phone and can never find it again.
I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on all devices and nothing has fixed it. I wonder if this is a known issue or if I’m doomed?
Beware, I’m not hugely technically savvy but can have a go at whatever troubleshooting I get asked to do.

The PlayStation app is by far the worst Plex client I’ve used, and I’ve used quite a few.
Go read in the PlayStation section, issues with Plex companion (such as yours) have been present for a long time. Multiple attempts at fixing them by the devs in the past.
Do yourself a favour and use something else. Anything else is better, from cheap clients like Chromecast, roku stick and raspberry pi to HTPCs and Nvidia ShieldTV (my personal favourite).

I found it pretty flawless until recently and then it just stopped working altogether. I’ve been using the PS3 app in the meantime because I can use my blu ray remote but I’d love to get it working again.
