Whoever is in charge of the browser Plex app should be fired. Don’t want to see all the trash you’ve added. Just my libraries would be nice. And what idiot thought hitting enter should negate the search?!?!? It is natural to type and hit enter when you put in a search. Not to the ■■■■■■■■■ at Plex. Nope. Lets just wipe that search out and make you stop typing instead of hitting enter. You really hate your users. Keep making your product shittier and shittier. Nothing but a money grab at this point.

you can disable all that extra “junk” plex displays. To keep outside sources from appearing in search, you click the “slider bars” icon that appears in the text field when you click it. Uncheck the “Discover (BETA)” option, and search only searches your available servers again.
I agree the search as it is now sucks though. The lack of having to hit enter is probably a result of them trying to make all search results show up in this drop-down widget, instead of a full page search result. And I too have noticed that hitting enter while Plex is still retrieving the search results seems to either blank out the field, or defaults back to the PREVIOUS search result text.
(I just noticed, it seems they fixed the search. Hitting enter after typing - whether super fast or waiting - takes you to a search result page for what you typed.)

Hitting enter using the latest Plex Web will bring up a full page of search results. If you want to skip that and just bring up what you searched for, press the down arrow and you can navigate the drop down.
