# Apple photos and plex

I wish to move my Apple photos into plex, but I have around 40k of photos with metadata etc so doing it by hand would be bad.
I know plex has an iPhoto plug-in when the server is running on osx but my plex is on a nas.
I do have access to a Mac though, so would it be possible to create a plex server on the Mac, use the iPhoto plugin to create the library on plex, then copy that library from that plex server over to the nas plex server ?

Is there a way to import a Apple Photos Library with all the deposited Tags?
I’m searching for a solution to migrate a Photos Library with Tags direct in to Plex.

Second that, is there any documentation on how to get photo with tags into Plex, preserving the tags? Either from Apple Photos or otherwise?
