# AppleTV app fails to connect

My appleTV Plex app connects to all media folders on my server except for Movies and blu ray movies. It connects to photos and to personal camcorder video but not to movies. IOS app connects to my server movies just fine. Why is there an issue with your APP on appleTV?

do you mean the libraries? This is all on one server?
have you checked under MORE

I have clicked on the movies folder up pops the connection error asking me to retry or to contact plex. They are not hidden. Your app simply cannot connect to them. As I stated it connects to everything else. I the IOS app connects to them, the browser app connects to them It is only your appleTV app that fails. Please address my question.

I’m asking if “everything else” is on the same Plex Media Server. Many folks have access libraries to multiple servers. My goal is to gather info so I can try to understand what is going on. If you don’t want to answer that is fine but it will be harder to help.
My first guess is possibly there is database corruption affecting your movie library on your server. But will need to see both the [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) and the [apple tv logs.](https://support.plex.tv/articles/212639598-apple-tv-logs/)
if you have not I would also power cycle the Apple TV

everything is on ONE SERVER. yes i have done all the usual things power cycled Apple TV, the plex server, made sure plex server was updated to latest release etc.

No. This is something unique to the app. The server is fine. It is an issue with the Plex app. I have already done all the usual things. Waiting for Plex to get involved and fix this. Everything plays fine except movies.

Works fine for me and what I said to try is on Plex app for Apple TV. Your a bit confusing referring to the Server, why?

I have confirmed that the libraries are not missing. They are there, because they show up on every other device just fine. So this is an issue with the App, nothing else. The two folders show up in the app. The app simply doesn’t connect to them. The folders are there in every other instance of Plex.

Would need to see the [apple tv logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/212639598-apple-tv-logs/) and maybe the [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) to see how it is trying to connect when the library is selected to see what is wrong.

I removed the app and reinstalled and that seemed to correct the issue.
