OK this is quite a slow process as I am travelling / my brother has asked me to take care of it even though he is local and my father is not really computer literate but here is what I have just managed to discover.

1. The server is working....my father can watch movies via his iPhone

2. I believe he can also share the screen of his iPhone to his ATV

3. The route to the Plex Movies via the Trailers AVATAR is broken (see first post)

Before trying new things I thought to revisit previous checks to see if anything had changed:

COMMAND &nbsp; PID &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; USER &nbsp; FD &nbsp; TYPE &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; DEVICE SIZE/OFF NODE NAME

mDNSRespo&nbsp; 42 \_mdnsresponder &nbsp; 97u&nbsp; IPv6 0xa895102a80938649&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 0t0&nbsp; UDP \*:domain

mDNSRespo&nbsp; 42 \_mdnsresponder &nbsp; 98u&nbsp; IPv4 0xa895102a80fab6f1&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 0t0&nbsp; TCP \*:domain (LISTEN)

mDNSRespo&nbsp; 42 \_mdnsresponder &nbsp; 99u&nbsp; IPv6 0xa895102a6bea2011&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 0t0&nbsp; TCP \*:domain (LISTEN)

Python&nbsp; &nbsp; 214 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; root&nbsp; &nbsp; 4u&nbsp; IPv4 0xa895102a6bab9589&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 0t0&nbsp; UDP macbook-pro:domain

macbook-pro:~ gema$&nbsp;

&nbsp;

So Python is still active

&nbsp;

Next we checked LauchDaemons:

&nbsp;

cd /Library/LaunchDaemons

macbook-pro:LaunchDaemons gema$ pwd

/Library/LaunchDaemons

macbook-pro:LaunchDaemons gema$ ls

com.adobe.fpsaud.plist

com.logmein.logmeinblanker.plist

com.logmein.logmeinserver.plist

com.logmein.raupdate.plist

com.microsoft.office.licensing.helper.plist

com.plex.plexconnect.bash.plist

com.trusteer.rooks.rooksd.plist

macbook-pro:LaunchDaemons gema$

plexconnect still there

Now we tried to remove this from LaunchDaemons:

macbook-pro:LaunchDaemons gema$ sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.plex.plexconnect.bash.plist

launchctl: Error unloading: com.plex.plexconnect.bash

macbook-pro:LaunchDaemons gema$

&nbsp;

Why has that failed please and what should we try next ?

If you go in the Plexconnect/support/OSX folder via terminal you can enter the following:

sudo ./uninstall.bash&nbsp;

This should get rid of it for you.

It depends upon what you called you PlexConnect folder and where you placed it e.g. in applications.

I find it useful to add an open terminal here to the right click services menu:

OK we should be able to make faster progress....my brother has opened up my Dad's machine to me remotely with:

[http://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/mac.aspx](http://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/mac.aspx)

I can now directly access the machine instead of sending him commands via Skype Chat which was a pretty tortuous&nbsp;

I have now bumped into the following......see attached

If you try and launch PlexConnect now does it give you the port 53 error?

Is internet sharing turned on on that Mac?

</div>

Looks like the permissions on the folder are out of whack, do a chmod on them to 777.

Internet sharing can cause issues, is it needed?

</div>

Catch 22 I think !! Internet sharing is likely enabled so that I can remotely access the machine from Team Viewer which is how I am collecting this data&nbsp;

Which precise folder are you suggestions I open permissions on ?

</div>

Just st do it to the whole PlexConnect folder and its sub folders.

Internet sharing shouldn’t be needed for team viewer access.

- Sharing is now off
- Permissions changed

However I still cannot run the Plexconnect Python script

Doh, i think you are trying to run it without using the "sudo" command.

Should have caught that earlier!

So are they still getting trailer unavailable, even after rebooting the ATV?

Btw you are better attaching the plexconnect.log (found in the main folder) for troubleshooting rather than screenshots of the terminal window output, which might not hold enough information?

Here is the log....have now figured out how to do the File Transfer from TeamViewer

TRAILERS is unavailable

Here is the log

Even if you are not getting Plex to work in the trailers app you should still be seeing DNS requests from the other applications (PlexConnect just forwards these to allow the applications to work as usual).

Are the other apps on the ATV working? If they are then i would say that the ATV does not have its DNS pointing to PlexConnect (192.168.0.7).
