# Artwork and FanArt optimizations

Hi, thanks to the Plex and Rasplex team for making this so easy. Is there a way to manually increase the resolution of the artwork and the fanart/posterart. It looks great on my Macbook pro but it looks terrible on my HD tv. The colors are dull and the artwork is pixelated. Any fixes for this? thanks again

From what I understand (still a newbie), the artwork resolutions have been dipped due to performance issues. There seems to be a lot of talk about where they can improve performance so hopefully we'll see an increase in artwork quality later down the track. RasPlex is in it's very early iterations.

Yes you are right it was downscaled for performance reasons.
Though given the latest performance imporvements (part of them are in 0.1.35 and some other are coming in next version), We think it should be back very soon :)
