G’day all, I’m kind of new the whole Plex and MKV thing, but I’m getting there. I’ve ripped a couple of Blu-ray movies using MakeMKV. I stream them from a NAS (running Plex Media Server), to a Samsung Blu-ray player (which has the Plex app) and then to my TV. It all works fine and I’m really happy with it, except for one thing… audio track names. I ripped a movie called The Huntsman and when I view it on my TV, I have the following audio options; English DCA 8 English DCA 6 English DCA 2 Is it possible (somehow) to display more intuitive names, DTS, Dolby, etc. I’ve done a bit of homework on this and I tried to rename the audio tracks using MKV Toolnix. If I use VLC Media player (on my computer), it does display the correct audio names, but it doesn’t change them (or I should say, display them) on the Plex client. I don’t really want to start ripping a lot of Blu-rays and then find there’s an easy way to do this. Any help would really appreciated. Michael ---

Unfortunately not possible (except on the Samsung Smarthub client). There is a long-standing [feature request](https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/117563/request-show-names-for-audio-tracks-and-subtitles/p1#top "feature request") for this. Add your vote by ‘Liking’ the first post of that thread ---

Thanks for the reply and I have added my vote. Why has this taken so long, or is it very difficult to implement? Could you explain what you meant about changing this on the Smarthub client… which I obviously have. Michael ---

Orca’s Smarthub Plex App does display the tracknames from version 2.005 onwards. There is no setting needed to activate this. If your Samsung device is new enough to be updated to the current version of the Plex app, you will get this functionality. ---

I honestly didn’t know anything this fella Orca… but I went back to the Blu-ray player and sure enough he’s the author of the app that I’m using. And as I mentioned, it doesn’t display the correct names. So, I’m guessing that I’m pretty much buggered until this feature request is implemented. If you were already on the ‘about’ page you should have taken a close look at the ‘version’ number. As mentioned above, this only works from version 2.005 onwards. If you have a version 2.004 (or lower), see if the Samsung appstore has an update. If your version number is only starting with a `1` then your player model might not be suitable for an upgradfe to version 2. ---

I went back and had a look and I have version 1.1.3.2700 It also says that It’s the current version. I suppose I can’t really complain, given that I’ve just bought the Samsung Blu-ray player. I couldn’t honestly expect him (or her… not sure which) to have implemented a new version for a 2016 player. I guess, as long as the MKV file has the right info and PMS is parsing the correct information, I’ll just waiting 'till another version comes out. Again, thanks for the help. Michael ---

Its taken a bit of time to figure this out, but I’ve managed to get the latest version onto the Blu-ray player and you’re “right” it does display the correct audio names 🙂 Thanks again for your patience Michael ---
