# Audio Transcodes causes Audio to cut out randomly

Server Version#: 1.30.0.6486  
Player Version#:

On multiple devices and OS (Apple TV, iOS, and Android) the audio will randomly cut out after playing for a bit.

This happens on multiple different video files and different audio codecs which is why I believe it is not related to the device I am playing on, but the Plex server itself. I’ve noticed that if I use the “old player” this does not happen, but when I use the new enhanced video player this happens. This also only happens when the video is direct streaming, but the audio is being transcoded.
