# Auto Direct Stream and Direct Play

Hello,

I have often the problem, that some media are stuttering on the apple TV. Now I have find out, that I can solve the problem with the option Direct Play Disabled. Then Plex uses Direct Stream. And most of my media are working fine with the apple tv.  
But there are some media with embedded subtitle. Now direct stream dont work on this media. I have to enable Direct Play and it works.

So I have change this option very often.

Is there an option which detect automatic if the media can direct play or not. This would be very helpful.
