Let me start with a praise: I **love** the new(-ish) feature of on-demand subtitles search and download. It really removed a pain point of my daily Plex use.

Quite often tho, the subtitle downloaded doesn’t have a **perfect** time sync, especially the non-english ones, and that is quite aggravating after a while.

I just came across this [https://github.com/smacke/subsync](https://github.com/smacke/subsync) which is a project aiming at automatic subtitle scoring and synchronisation, using both the video or a previously scored subtitle as reference.

It seems to work pretty good! In goes the video file and the horrible subtitle file, out comes a nicely synced subtitle file. In just a matter of seconds!

I think it would be an awesome addition to the Plex experience. Hope you feel the same.
