# \[B+, 0.4.1\] Smoothmotion/interpolation slow downs?

Hi all,
I've had my rasplex pi working for a couple weeks now, but I've been noticing a difference compared to when I had my laptop as my streaming device connected to my TV.
I have a Vizio m551-a2r TV, and (due to the spoils of PC on a 110hz monitor) I actually prefer the high setting of Vizio's 'SmoothMotion' setting.
I have my rasplex settings as:
60hz refresh rate
Direct Play/Original quality
Sync playback to display enabled
It's very noticeable when the playback fps increases for a few seconds, then jolts back down. If I pause and let load, the playback will be smooth high fps for a bit, but then goes back down; I'm assuming because of the buffer. Could this be because I don't have a gigabit ethernet adapter on the pi?

Which version of Rasplex are you using, helps if you state in the description of your issue. If it is 0.5.1 uncheck FFMPEG AVIO in Preferences.

Thanks, what's the container, codecs and bitrate of the file you are havings problems with? Is it just one file or all files?

- The bitrate is 11.5 Mb/s,
- Codec is V\_MPEG4/ISO/AVC (sorry I'm a noob to codecs, this is just what the metadata on the webpage of the file says)
- Container is mkv
This is for the most recent file I was watching, but it has happened for every file I've tried before as well (most of my library are mkv format). Could this be due to the amount of RAM on the B+? I have it overclocked to the recommended settings from the stickied post if that helps
